ABOUT me

My Story

After over a decade working directly with patients in a variety of settings including substance abuse programs, outpatient psychiatry and serving as the director of training for a psychology residency at a major clinical center, I decided to pursue my passion and focus my efforts into building an unique and fulfilling private practice.

In this endeavor, I decided to apply my knowledge, my professional experience and a big chunk of who I am into building a practice that is truly limitless. What I mean by that expression is both the metaphorical limitlessness of believing in your own power and also the literal sense of geographical limits. In this practice, I operate fully virtually and I am not tied to a home base, allowing myself and my patients to be fully mobile across the globe.

My goal is to do meaningful work while building the life I envisioned, while inspiring others to do the same.

In the interest of this vision, I have built a practice that is very small and exclusive, where I see a very limited number of clients for coaching or therapy*. The exclusive nature of this practice allows me to build programs carefully tailored for each client with very intentional interventions and goals.

My professional work is geared at helping people find meaning in their lives and live outside of the constraints of how things "should be". I want to help you build the life you want and deserve, unapologetically.

Much of my work also focuses on helping individuals achieve the ultimate self-love, that in my opinion will serve as the foundation and springboard for everything else. If you are tired of your own inner critic and you are ready to love yourself once and for all, this is for you. I particularly enjoy working with individuals who were raised in high expectation and critical environments and who are determined to shed these voices for good.

A little about my personal life: I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. I was the first to go to college on both sides of my family. My mother is Brazilian and my father was an immigrant from Italy who traveled to Brazil on the third class floor of a ship when he was about 9 years old. I am the oldest of 3. My native language is Brazilian Portuguese but I also speak English, and Spanish. All fluently, in that order. I am also a bit of a linguaphile (if you look that up, you may be a linguaphile too!), culture junky, history and geography nerd, die-hard Seinfeld fan, organization enthusiast. I am also a softy and cry listening to songs in at least 3 languages (sometimes more). I am also a self-taught living room flamenco dancer, wannabe party planner, and international social butterfly. I hold 3 passports and take very seriously my identity of citizen of the world.

As you meet me, you will learn that I have the education and clinical experience to know my craft, yet a very genuine, relatable, funny and personable approach to both life and professional practice. In this practice, you get to connect with a therapist who is also a human being. You can even follow my hybrid professional/personal pages on Instagram and Facebook.

In my own life journey, most definitely not hardship free, I had to learn the hard way how to achieve the love and inner-belonging that is so deep and so unconditional, that allowed me to believe in myself so fiercely, which propelled me into this endeavor that you are about to take part on.
